First Visit

First Visit First Visit

The first visit can be filled with apprehension. We are here to make it as stress free as possible. A few things you should know:

  1. The first visit should be between the age of 1-3 years old.

  2. Know your child’s schedule. Bring them when they are most awake and alert. Preferably in the morning and not when they are hungry or near nap time.

  3. Understand that we may not be able to do a “cleaning” like what you are used to at the dentist. We do what the child is capable of and work our ways towards comprehensive care.

  4. Please let us know any questions you may have about caring for your child’s teeth. We are your partners in oral health.

  5. Bring your child every six months. Consistency allows them to familiarize themselves with the dental environment and become more comfortable which will allow us to complete more dental treatment with ease.

  6. If the child has an older sibling allowing them to watch the sibling helps to familiarize them with what they will be experiencing and makes them more comfortable with the visit.

  7. At the first visit we will clean your child’s teeth, put fluoride and the dentist will do an exam.
